About me

In my career as a photojournalist and documentarian, I have approached every subject with dignity and respect for their life and circumstances.
​​
I have photographed individuals firmly established within the top one percent of the world’s wealthiest people, and I have also walked alone through some of the poorest regions on earth.
​
In those places, I have felt the heartbreaking reality of extreme hardship while deeply admiring the resilience and optimism of the people enduring it.
​​
My goal has always been to understand the circumstances of the moment and document my subjects honestly and authentically.
​​
In sports, people often speak of the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. Life, however, is far more complex. The ability to work with understanding, empathy, and emotional awareness has become one of my greatest strengths.
​​
In today’s environment, where many seek social media attention and personal visibility, I remain something of an outlier. My work speaks through the photographs I create and the stamps collected in my drawers of expired passports that reflect decades of projects around the world.
​​
While business requires self-promotion, my focus during any assignment is always on delivering exceptional work for my client. I rarely photograph or film for personal “behind-the-scenes” content or social media posts while working. Only afterward do I occasionally recognize the documentary value of those moments as evidence of the professionalism and commitment invested in the project.

Much of my commissioned work involves documenting sensitive situations where confidentiality and discretion are essential. Moreover, I understand and respect every client’s desire to control their own image and information.
​​
Over the years, I have worked in some of the nation’s most sensitive security environments. This includes highly restricted areas within the national laboratories at Hanford, Los Alamos, and Oak Ridge. For those projects, I received high-level security clearances through the Department of Energy and the Department of Defense. At various times, I have also received Secret Service clearance while working in proximity to the President of the United States.

In legal video work, I have signed countless confidentiality agreements prohibiting the disclosure of sensitive information disclosed during assignments.
​​
I have never betrayed that trust.
​​
Today, I am based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metro area. My work is divided between legal videography — including depositions, independent medical evaluations, estate documentation, and related assignments — and more complex productions requiring advanced broadcast capabilities, logistics, or trial support. Documentary projects remain a particular specialty.
​​
Additionally, I frequently provide photography and video services for international companies that choose the DFW area for conventions, trade shows, sales meetings, and corporate events. I believe my friendly, unobtrusive working style — developed over decades of documenting people and cultures around the world — allows me to capture the genuine character, camaraderie, and significance of these events in a truthful and meaningful way.

Although I often work independently or with a small crew, I also enjoy collaborating as part of larger productions. My focus is always on advancing the success of the project as a whole.
​​
I own and maintain the equipment necessary for most routine assignments and can source additional gear throughout the DFW metroplex whenever required.
​​
My current equipment includes six Canon cameras, ranging from the R5 and R7 to the Cinema R5C and C80 cinema systems. Several are Netflix-approved platforms, reflecting the professional standards and capabilities of the equipment.
​​
Additionally, I own three Sony NX5U video cameras and a compact live-switching system frequently used for depositions, live streaming, Zoom integration, meetings, and small-scale event production.
​​
I also maintain a full complement of supporting production equipment, including computers, monitors, lighting stands, reflectors, tripods, cabling, and related accessories necessary for reliable field and studio operations.
​​
This integrated approach allows me to provide a highly efficient and cost-effective production workflow. Because I know this equipment intimately, clients benefit from a smooth, dependable production experience with minimal technical complications.

I maintain a current passport and can travel quickly for assignments anywhere in the world.
​​
Throughout my career, I have remained committed to the craft of producing exceptional work. That commitment continues to guide every project I undertake and remains my professional north star.
